Account Manager/CSR (Personal and Commercial Lines)

Account Managers (licensed position) will be responsible for providing customer service to their own customer accounts.  They will interact with the customer to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services as well as handling and resolving account problems or complaints.  The Account Manager will be responsible for managing their workload.  This will involve handling the incoming phone calls from clients as well as working on remarketing customer accounts with premium increases or coverage changes, handling policy cancellations and reinstatements, managing money received on customer accounts, fielding specific questions as they pertain to customer accounts, and communicating directly with the various insurance companies who underwrite the coverage for our customers.  The ability to balance all these tasks effectively is as important as the execution of them individually.  The Account Manager will have to become familiar with the dozens of insurance companies we do business with so they will understand which product or service will fit the needs of each individual client given that client’s distinct circumstance.  They will need to work well with other Account Managers in a team environment, as well as working closely with the sales staff to ensure the customer’s initial needs are being met.  Key skills for this position are organization, self-motivation, accuracy, timeliness, written and verbal communication and the ability to document thoroughly.

  • A higher degree or additional business courses are helpful.
  • SC Property & Casualty Agents License

New Business Associate

The New Business position in our office involves communicating with new clients who either call into our office or are brought in by a salesperson.  The new business employee will take the order from the customer or salesperson and quote the business with several different companies depending on the risk.  The new business associate must gain an understanding of the multiple companies we work with and which types of risks the customer faces.  They will be responsible for deciding which insurance companies will be the best fit for the client and then getting the necessary information together to submit for a quote.  A new business employee will need to be able to communicate effectively with our clients as well as work together with our sales staff and other supporting employees.  New business associates will also need to be able to cross sell other coverages to customers as the opportunities arise during the quoting process.

Account Technician

An Account Technician is responsible for much of the processing of work to be done on customer accounts.  They assist the licensed account managers by processing requested changes to customer accounts, renewing policies in the computer system, checking policies and endorsements for accuracy, creating letters and mailing these policies and changes out to the customers.  Account techs must be able to manage their workload, completing their work in a timely and accurate manner, and work well along side other staff as they will be assisting the licensed agents in the office.  This is an entry level position with the opportunity to become licensed and move into other areas.

Producer/Sales Person

A Sales Producer is responsible for bringing new clients into the agency.  They will be expected to follow leads to find clients, help the potential client determine what coverage is appropriate, gather the initial information needed to request insurance quotes from companies, and then propose and sell the coverage to the customer.  In addition, the Producer will need to act as an ongoing insurance resource for their existing clients and, with the help of the customer service staff in the office, continue to maintain a working relationship with the client by addressing ongoing concerns regarding coverage or take orders for new, additional coverage as needed.  They will also need to maintain a working knowledge of all insurance companies represented by our agency and the different coverage appetites these companies have.

Receptionist & Front Office Support

Our Reception & Front Office Support roles involve receiving and directing incoming calls and welcoming customers and other guests in a friendly, professional manner.  In addition to incoming phone calls, faxes and mail, our front office staff is also responsible for supply maintenance and ordering, shipping and receiving, scheduling office equipment maintenance, in house supply printing and some account processing work.  Reception and Front Office Support staff also work at the request of department managers in various assistant, technical and administrative support functions.

IT Help Desk

 

In this role, you will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. You will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include but are not limited to end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations. 

Responsibilities include

  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation 
  • Assist with onboarding of new users 
  • Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
  • Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory
  • Help develop procedures for use of new technology.

Basic Requirements:
